2020 The Year Love Prevailed
“But you know, happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light” Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
2020 was one hell of a journey. It was hard, unexpected, emotional, and funnily enough, the one I am most grateful for. It’s also the year that’s made me stronger than ever (mentally, obviously as my bicep game is weak).
Everyone has had their own challenges to get through this year, but unlike most years we have also had to deal with a collective challenge, with major upheaval to life as we know it with this global pandemic.
There have been moments when I’ve crumbled, heaped on the floor unable to stop crying, but I got myself back up and became more resilient than I could have ever imagined. I kept creating and adapted my business in order to survive – like many of my other amazing pals in the industry who I’m so proud of. It’s been the hardest year, but we aren’t going to let this stop us from creating and doing what we love. Our couples have been through hell too, especially with the ever-changing government guidelines.
Micro Wedding Photographer
The micro weddings that have happened this year have had their own special kind of magic. Every one of them has been a heartfelt adventure. Throughout everything 2020 has shown me that love can prevail.
I’m so ready for 2021 now. I know it’s all a bit uncertain at the moment, but I’m really hopeful that weddings will be able to go ahead. Imagine when we can celebrate all those special moments again. What a wonderful day that will be.
So here are a few of my favourites from 2020. If you’re after a Micro Wedding Photographer London get in touch! I’d love to hear all about your plans and help you capture wonderful memories.
