Larmer Tree Gardens Wedding Photography

Let me tell you about Louise and Dan’s epic wedding day at Larmer Tree Gardens in Wiltshire. Seriously, this place is like no other. The Victorian gardens, with the Singing Theatre and the magical Roman Temple, offer some absolutely epic backdrops.

As a Larmer Tree Gardens Wedding Photographer, I was privileged to capture the special moments of the day. It had everything. Lovely couple, happy guests and all the unique wedding decorations that you could have wished for. Plus, Louise and Dan are a cool couple, there’s no doubt about that, I mean look at these cool cats! From the start, you could tell they had something special going on. After years of being together, you could still feel the love and magic energy between them. It was such a joy to be part of this special day.

Getting Ready at King John’s Inn

The day kicked off with Louise and her bridesmaids getting ready at King John’s Inn. This is a beautiful old pub just down the road from Larmer Tree Gardens. Nerves and excitement were in the air. Meanwhile, Dan and his buddies were having a blast too. Then Louise jumped in the cutest baby-blue Morris Minor and headed off to Larmer Tree Gardens for the ceremony.

Covid & rain didn’t stop their love story

So a lot didn’t go to plan that day. Covid threw a big old spanner in the works, and after postponing once already, Louise & Dan decided they just wanted to be married. They followed the protocols and had a smaller wedding of just 30 guests.
The majority of the day was planned to be outside, including the ceremony, but the rain came in and we quickly changed the plan and got them married indoors instead. Louise rocked her dress as she walked down the aisle with her grandad, and Dan got all teary-eyed. Such a heartwarming moment, and even now, after a decade of working in weddings this moment always gets me.
The whole scene was picture-perfect, and I was pumped!

The Singing Theatre during Larmer Tree Gardens Wedding Photography

After the “I do’s,” we hit up the gardens for some group and couple portraits. The singing theatre at Larmer Tree makes for some absolutely killer shots.

Then, the reception was where the party was at! Laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches all around. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, but that’s what makes it so fun to photograph. Plus, check out the personalised beer bottles! Some home-brewed beer with portraits of the couple’s cats on the artwork. How cool is that?!

As the sun went down, Larmer Tree Gardens lit up with fairy lights. The whole vibe turned romantic, and Louise and Dan’s first dance was magical. Their love and energy were contagious, and I snapped away like crazy.

All in all, shooting Louise and Dan’s wedding at Larmer Tree Gardens was a blast. The venue is a dream, and this couple made my job easy with their genuine love and joy.

If you’re planning a wedding and looking for an epic spot for photos, Larmer Tree Gardens is the way to go. No doubt, you’ll have an awesome time, just like Louise and Dan!
